Newborn portraits are best captured in the first 4-14 days, while your baby is sleeping soundly and curling up into those adorable womblike poses. For babies that are born early and spend time in the hospital, we recommend scheduling a session within the first week of being sent home. We encourage families to book their newborn photography session as early as possible to ensure availability. Your due date will be placed on our calendar, and we’ll look forward to hearing from you once your baby is born to schedule your newborn session. We only book a limited number of newborns each month to allow flexibility in our calendar for last-minute appointments. If you’ve already had your little one, we will try our very best to accommodate you, or at least to recommend a fellow photographer with availability.

All sessions are held in our Perth Amboy, NJ studio. We are currently not offering any in home sessions.

Yes! Family lifestyle photos are included in both packages.

You will receive an online gallery link with all your proofs within maximum 2 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your family).
Once we receive your favorites list the turnaround time for the edits is maximum 3 weeks.
You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints!

Newborn sessions generally last two hours, allowing plenty of time for feedings and diaper changes to keep your baby content. The studio is kept warm and sanitized throughout the session, and all blankets are washed with the most gentle hypoallergenic detergents. We’ll capture a variety of newborn poses, while also capturing the sweet tiny details that make your baby unique. Sessions are scheduled for the morning or early afternoon for that gorgeously soft, glowing natural light. The packages also include family lifestyle portraits.

We ask that you bring a pacifier, bottle of formula, swaddle, and a few clean diapers. You’ll also set aside a nice outfit for the family photography. We recommend creams, neutral tones, and soft colors for soft intimate portraits. It’s best to avoid chunky jewelry and watches, which can be distracting elements. We have our own blankets, wraps, dainty headbands, and knit hats. However, we understand that sometimes parents like to bring along their own newborn accessories, and that is totally fine with us.
