There is truly nothing like the holiday season at Melissa Batista Photography! Every year, our Perth Amboy, New Jersey photography studio is completely transformed for our annual Holiday Mini Sessions, creating a festive and memorable experience for families throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and beyond.

Our 2025 Holiday Mini Sessions were filled with so much joy, laughter, and holiday magic. We welcomed returning families who have made our Christmas sessions part of their yearly tradition, along with so many new families visiting our studio for the very first time.

More Than Just Christmas Mini Sessions

When we design our holiday sessions, our goal is to create much more than a beautiful backdrop for Christmas photos. We want families—especially the children—to walk into the studio and feel like they have stepped into a little piece of Christmas magic.

One of the things that makes our NJ Holiday Mini Sessions unique is our use of real, dimensional props and carefully designed sets rather than printed or artificial paper backdrops. Each year, we create completely new holiday environments with thoughtfully selected furniture, décor, Christmas trees, greenery, textures, and details.

The result is a collection of holiday portraits that feels warm, natural, timeless, and true to the light and airy style Melissa Batista Photography is known for.

Holiday Family Photos That Become a Tradition

For many of our clients, visiting our studio for Christmas photos has become an annual family tradition. It is incredibly special to photograph the same children year after year and watch them grow.

These sessions aren’t only about getting the perfect photo for a Christmas card. They’re about documenting your family during this particular season of life—the little smiles, personalities, sibling relationships, and moments that change much faster than we realize.

We keep our sessions fun and interactive so children can be themselves while we capture both the beautifully posed portraits and those sweet, candid moments in between.

A New Jersey Holiday Photography Experience

Our natural-light photography studio is located in Perth Amboy, NJ, conveniently located for families traveling from throughout Central and North Jersey, Staten Island, New York City, and the surrounding tri-state area. We are also incredibly grateful to have families travel from much farther away each holiday season to experience our Christmas sets.

Every detail of our holiday experience is designed with photography in mind—from the placement of the décor to the textures, tones, and natural light throughout the studio. Our signature bright, airy editing style keeps the final images festive while still feeling elegant and timeless enough to enjoy long after the holiday season is over.
